The Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners [International] (MRCGP [INT]) South Asia is a distinguished qualification tailored to the healthcare needs of the South Asian region. The College of General Practitioners of Sri Lanka (CGPSL) plays a vital role in supporting the MRCGP [INT] South Asia Board by assisting in the organization of the examinations in Sri Lanka. Through its efforts, CGPSL ensures the smooth conduct of the exams, contributing to the development and recognition of high standards in General Practice and Family Medicine across the region.

MRCGP Part I

Check list

Please submit  the following documents to check the eligibility.

COURIER ONLY. Applications CANNOT be submitted by hand.

Kindly STAPLE (do not clip) all the documents as a one document, according to the order given below;

  1. Original Application form (this will be available on MRCGP INT SA website when registration is open)
  2. One passport-size photograph endorsed by your department head / supervisor / MRCGP [INT] graduate. (STAPLE and attach with the Application form)
  3. Copy of MBBS Degree
  4. Internship/House Job completion certificate
  5. Copy of valid medical licence certificate (SLMC Registration + Latest Renewal)
  6. Job experience certificates / private practice certificates etc to prove that you fulfil the eligibility criteria under which you are applying (details of eligibility criteria available in the Rules and Regulations document on the MRCGP website)
  • Sri Lankan Candidates should get this letter from one of the CGPSL Members in your area (Should be a member or a life member, not an Associate)

  • Letter content:
    • Since when (the year),
    • Place of Practice (Address),
    • Nos hrs per day, Nos days per week ……….. etc (Time)
  • NO FEE PAYMENT AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION. 
  • The admin office will notify for the fee payment once a slot has been secured.

NOTE

  • ONLY originally signed application on the latest application form to be accepted

Candidates who are already registered and have a 7-digit candidate ID need to attach the following documents only with the application form:

  1. Part I Results (Email received from MRCGP)
  2. SLMC Registration + SLMC Renewal 
  3. Original Application form
  4. Passport size Colour Photograph (Certified copy – JP, Lawyer or any other Doctor with rubber stamp)
  5. Examination fee:

    NO FEE PAYMENT AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.

    The admin office will notify for the fee payment once a slot has been secured.

NOTE

  • No application will be accepted by hand – Courier the documents to CGPSL Office or MRCGP Karachi Office
  • ONLY originally signed application on the latest application form to be accepted
  • No fee to be paid at the time of application.
